As a Picture

Bring me back to that day.
Paint us as a picture.
Objects as light.
Blurry memory.
Was the ancient oak dark or bright?
reflecting the future back to us
     feeling my mind lie
She gave us the answer but I closed my eyes.
Not ready to say goodbye.
a handful of sunsets before the truth overtook our life
Give me back one peaceful night.
Human pride stole away our light.
     they never saw it
walls you built no love could crumble with time
Asleep with the moon.
     remember my eyes
     envision the colors
hands letting go to hold the light
